Favorite Superheroes: The Character Behind the Costume

The group closes its superhero theme by talking about favorite characters and screen versions. That distinction matters: loving a hero does not require loving every film made about them.

Matt's discussion of Batman moves through several interpretations, including versions he enjoys and one he finds much weaker. He is willing to separate a performer from the writing and filmmaking around them, rather than placing every problem on the person in the suit.

Dan's interest in what a hero stands for gives the exchange another dimension. Matt returns to the idea that a small act of care can be heroic, connecting the larger-than-life figure with something ordinary people can actually do.

The conversation becomes less about choosing the strongest character and more about recognizing which version expresses the qualities that make the character matter.

Which screen superhero best represents what you admire about the character? Can a small act of kindness be a more memorable heroic moment than a final battle?
